It's Not Nice To Fool With Mother Nature

California has just been hammered by torrential rains. It looks like one more day of the wet stuff, then a respite.

Mudslides have killed three in So Cal. The last year has just been murder as far as weather is concerned. What's going on? Is it me, or has it been abnormally cruel these last 12 months?

First Florida. How many hurricanes? 6? 7?

After the 9.0 earthquake and resulting tsunami in Asia got the world's attention. Those rich, selfish Americans aren't giving enough money. "Stingy" was the epithet of the day.

I didn't see the U.N. sending money to Florida. Did you?

My favorite hot dog vendor and his son got into a little hot water regarding oil, food, Cotecna, and Iraq. Guess he was preoccupied. Couldn't be bothered.

Maybe Messrs Annan could donate some of the money they made propping up the Saddam regime. Wouldn't that be nice?

I'm sure California, Florida, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, et al would be grateful. Especially Indonesia, as they are quite picky these days regarding sources of aid. Just knowing that the money passed through the hands of Saddam and Sons, Ltd. should be enough.
